Cookie Policy

1. Cookies and tools

• Better Auth cookies: better-auth.session_token (or a__Secure- variant in secure conditions), required for sign-in, logout and personal features; not advertising or profiling;
• transient Better Auth cookies such as state or oauth_state may be used during OAuth/magic-link flows; duration and activation depend on the flow;
• reality-error-locale: first-party language cookie, one-year duration, SameSite=Lax;
• sessionStorage: temporary sign-in intent in the current browser; not a cookie or persistent identifier;
• first-party analytics: aggregate events without analytics cookies, identifying localStorage, fingerprint, persisted IP or user-agent.

2. Why there is no banner

There are no profiling or advertising cookies, social SDKs or third-party analytics in the verified implementation. First-party analytics produce only aggregate statistics: events are grouped by hour, not linked to accounts/devices and no personal identifiers are retained. They are therefore treated as technical or technical-equivalent tools, requiring information but no prior consent under the Garante criteria.

Any non-essential tool must be blocked until valid consent is collected and this page is updated.

3. Duration and control

Better Auth 1.7.5 uses a default seven-day session when no override is configured; the repository does not set an explicit override and the effective Production value must be verified from Set-Cookie. The language cookie lasts 12 months. You can delete cookies in your browser; deleting the session cookie signs you out on that device.

4. Third parties

Source links and enabled Google, Apple or email providers may process data when visited or selected. External media URLs may be requested automatically when a Story displays or plays them. Reality Error does not control cookies or logs on those domains; actual media domains and transfers must be verified before launch.
